Brian is the founder of Assembly Theory, a growing consulting firm focused on early stage AI integration, strategic planning, and real estate development. He previously led the Vermont Council on Rural Development. Prior to that, he worked for the City of Burlington as the Chief of Staff, Chief Innovation Officer, and the City's pandemic response leader. He has been a lecturer at the University of Vermont and currently serves on the board of the Burlington Housing Authority and the Vermont Immigration Legal Defense Fund. He served for 8 years in the U.S. Navy Reserve and lived for extended periods as a civilian in the Middle East, North Africa, and Afghanistan.
